Road Trippin': Alice Springs to Broome September 2010. It was time to leave the red centre, after Chester left, the group going north was now me, Irene, Valerie from France and Rachel from Wales. We made it to Katherine in one day driving, Rachel left and Marcia from Holland joined us. We went to the Katherine Gorge National Park (Nitmiluk), it was the hottest day since I was in Australia. When also Irene and Valerie left the crew me and Marcia decided to drive to Kununurra where we met my old friend Sari. After a long stay in bloody Kununurra and some good nights at the mosquito airport we found two new mates, Tatiana (France/Mexico) and Selin (Turkey). We went on the Gibb's River Road to Emma Gorge and, almost, El Questro, down on the Tanami Road to Wolf Creek (yes, that one!), stopped at China Wall, one of the wonders of the world and eventually made it to Broome, to relax the beautiful Cable Beach. |
